Shasta General Plan Update

Dynamic Planning + Science partnered with the City of Shasta Lake to prepare a comprehensive update of its General Plan, replacing the City’s 1999 plan with a modern policy framework to guide growth and decision-making through 2040. The plan addresses land use, housing, circulation, conservation, open space, public safety, community health, and climate resilience while establishing a clear vision for the City’s long-term physical development.

The update was shaped through workshops, open houses, surveys, educational forums, and guidance from a General Plan Advisory Committee. The resulting plan supports compact growth, corridor revitalization, expanded housing choices, economic development, environmental stewardship, and a safer, healthier, and more connected community.
